Threads

How chat threads, team visibility, and forks work.

A thread is one conversation with the Facturn agent inside a workspace. Each thread keeps its own context — turns, signals it has seen, cards it has proposed.

You can see your team's threads

Threads inside a workspace are visible to every member of that workspace. The sidebar splits them into Mine (threads you started) and Team (threads started by anyone else).

This is intentional: a small team should be able to see what someone else has been thinking about without needing to ask.

Forking

If a teammate's thread is going somewhere interesting and you want to take it in a different direction, you can fork it. A fork copies the thread up to that point into a new thread you own. The original keeps going untouched.

Forks remember where they came from, so you can always trace back to the original conversation.

Auto-naming

New threads start as "New thread." Once enough turns accumulate, Facturn proposes a smarter name based on what is actually being discussed. You can override the name at any time.
